Presentation copy of Aabye’s work on the assessment of landed property for taxation purposes, known as “skyldsætning” or “matriculering” in Danish. It provides a detailed account of how land has been evaluated and recorded for tax purposes throughout Danish history. This present copy was given to Chamberlain and County Governor Schumacher (1743–1817), Knight of Dannebrog, Danish diplomat and the brother of Jens Reimert Schumacher.
