Rare first edition, presumably a gift copy with a most interesting provenance, official regulation or statute concerning The Royal Copenhagen Shooting Society outlining the rules, criteria, and significance of awarding this badge to members - referred to as "brothers" - and was formally approved by royal authority on January 27, 1779. The present copy have belonged to Frederik Wilhelm Wivet (1728 – 1790), jurist and author. In 1754, he became a prosecutor for all higher and lower courts; the following year he became a Supreme Court attorney and, from 1763 to 1773, also served as generalfiscal (public prosecutor). In the latter role he led the prosecution in 1772 against J. F. Struensee and Enevold Brandt. Provenance: Valdemar's Castle.
Wivet was a member The Royal Copenhagen Shooting Society.
