Folio (380 x 235 mm). In contemporary full calf over wooden boards with four raised bands and ruled fillets to boards. Binding defective. Upper compartment with loss of leather, leather detached on front board, corners with loss of leather and the wooden boards. Back board also with holes and tears. Internally with a few small worm-tract but generally very nice and clean. (36), 762, (10), 311 pp. + 2 engraved plates. 

Uncommon first edition of this extensive alphabetically organized dictionary of the most important biblical words, phrases, parables, allegories, places and persons. It was reprinted in 1706.
