Rare and finely illustrated 13th volume of Prevost’s extensive work on various travel accounts which cover numerous travel narratives to different parts of the world, documenting the discoveries, explorations, and adventures of travelers. This present Hondt-edition is “Mainly a reprint of the Paris edition, but with many corrections and additions, especially in the later volumes. The maps and plates were finely engraved by J. van der Schley.” (Sabin 65404). According to Tchemerzine this the best edition.
