Blindstamped ornamentation to board and single gilt line to boarders of boards. Small paper-label pasted on to upper compartment of spine. Beautiful later edition of Scriver’s highly praised work describing the progress of the soul from misery to eternal life by combining allegory, dogmatics, and ethics.
It has been translated into numerous languages, including Norwegian, Danish, Swedish and Finnish. The first edition was published in 1689.
