Folio. In contemporary pink cardboard. Spine partly split and with loss of paper. .... Brownspotting to first leave and vargue dampstain to outer margin of last plates, otherwise internally fine. 16 pp. + 33 plates (on 17 leaves, plate 33 being double-page).  

First edition of the beautiful depictions Grund's sculptures. Grund was educated as a sculpture in Germany and created the sculptures in Nordmandsdalen at Fredensborg Palace. The sculptures in Nordmandsdalen have been replaced by replicas while Grund's original works have been moved to Christian IV's Brewhouse in Copenhagen.
