First edition of this collection of Lexis' importent statistical papers, where his famous Q coefficient of dispersion were re-examined. In a review of it Bortkiewicz concludes, that Lexis has known to clarify and synthesize the most general problems of moral and demographic statistics. Lexis' coefficent foreshadowed the statistics of K. Pearson and R.A. Fisher, in particular X2 for the analysis of variance.
