First edition of the well-known French philosopher and mathematician's main mathematical work. Fontenelle, author of "The Plurality of Worlds", claims here, that Geometry is entirely intellectual and independent of the actual decription and existence of figures, following more the conceptions of Descartes than those of Newton.
