In Vinigia (Venice), Comin da Trino, 1553. 4to. Bound in full calf, Cambridge-binding from ab. 1750, raised bands. Top and foot of spine frayed. Back a little worn. Front board detached. Engraved coat of arms of Thomas Foley on verso of title pasted in. Title in ornamented wood-cut-frame. (26) pp. and 244 leaves. Fine wood-cut-initial. One full-page woodcut-illustration (Justitia). A few lvs. very slightly browned, otherwise fine and clean.

One of the first Italian translations of this principal historical work, which first appeared in Latin 1487.
