First appearance of Fermi's important paper on a quantitative theory of the hyperfine structures of spectrum lines which later was to be named 'Fermi Contact Interaction'. The present paper was considered one of his most important by the Nobel Prize commitee.
"Fermi contact interaction" is the magnetic interaction between an electron and an atomic nucleus when the electron is inside that nucleus.
