Five parts (3, 4, 5, 6 & 7) of the 1581 Rouille-edition of Justinian's Digest or Pandects of one of the foundational texts of Roman law compiled under the direction of Emperor Justinian I around 533 AD. It forms a major part of the Corpus Juris Civilis which was a comprehensive codification of Roman law commissioned by Justinian to systematize and organize centuries of legal thought and rulings.
