8vo. In contemporary (original?) blue blank wrappers. Very light wear and a few small stains to wrappers. Internally nice and clean. 40 pp. + 1 folded plates depicting 3 handcoloured appels and pears. 

Very rare prospectus "announcing a new pomology that was to be entitled Pomona Hamburgensis by Johann Peter Buek. Buek's work was never published but he came from a prominent family who had a flower, seed, and landscape business in Hamburg. The last leaf is signed "Johann Peter Buek, Peters Sohn, Blumen - Saamen - und baumha¨ndler. Wohnhaft auf der grossen Dreybahn in Hamburg." (Oak Spring Garden Library)
