First edition of this scarce publication issued in the aftermath of the catastrophic Vejle fire of 23 April 1786, which destroyed much of the town. The book is a collection of religious sermons, published with the purpose of raising funds to aid the impoverished citizens of Vejle who had lost their homes and livelihoods in the fire.
