A nice copy printed on good paper of this work which covers a range of Sneedorff's philosophical reflections and is followed by a small separately paginated treatise: “Betragtninger over et tiligt og uformodentligt Dödsfald, i Anleding af det III. og XL. Brev i denne Samling”.

Jens Sneedorff (1724-1764) was one of the key figures of the Danish Enlightenment. At just 27 years old, he was appointed professor at Sorø Academy at the request of Holberg, until he became the tutor of Crown Prince Frederik in 1761.
