Heitor Pinto (1528 – 1584) was a Portuguese philosopher, theologian, and writer. He joined the Hieronymite Order in 1543 studying and teaching philosophy and theology in Coimbra, Salamanca and Lisbon. Pinto was exiled to Toledo by Philip II for supporting António of Crato’s claim to the Portuguese throne.
