8vo. Two parts bound in one contemporary full calf binding with four raised bands and richly gilt spine. Traces from old paper-label pasted on to top of spine. Light wear to extremities. Annotations in contemporary hand to front free end-paper. Title-page evenly browned, otherwise internally nice and clean. (6), 410, (4), 438 pp. 

Later Amsterdam-edition of Guy Patin's correspondence, begun in 1630 and continued until his death. "D'une correspondance trés importante pour l'histoire de la littérature, de la médicine et des moeurs et usages en France au milieu du XVII siécle."
