Later edition of Weise’s work on logic intended for use in the Gymnasium of Zittau Christian Weise (1642–1708), key figure in the German Baroque period, was a notable German author, poet, playwright, and educator of the Baroque period. His work spanned a variety of genres, and he is especially known for his contributions to literature, education, and political thought.
