All edges coloured in red. A few scratches to boards. Previous owner's name to front free end-paper. Ex-libris pasted on to pasted down front end-paper. Text in two columns. A very nice and clean copy. 15 ff. 1972 columns, (18) ff. + frontispiece. 

Beautifully bound first edition of one of the most used and popular refence books of the time, offering an easy accessible knowledge of Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology. For each god the book provides a brief biography, his physical and psychological characteristics.
The book went through several editions during the 18^th century.
