The rare second expanded edition of Hunold’s satirical letters and legal documents poking fun at legal matters and common norms of his time. The present work is a fine example of Hunold's talent for blending humor with social commentary, which was characteristic of his writing style.
Christian Friedrich Hunold (1680-1721), also known by his pseudonym Menantes, was a German poet. He was known for his satirical and humorous poetry, as well as his translations of French literature into German. Hunold's work often focused on social criticism and commentary on contemporary German society.
