12mo. In contemporary full polished vellum with title in contemporary hand to spine. MIscolouring and a few scratches to extremities. Previous owner's name to front free end-paper. Stain to last leaf and occassional brownspotting and underlinings throughout. (34), 279, (5) pp. + frontispiece. 

Later Blaeu-edition, the first to include Thomas Farnabi's commentaries, of Terence’s Commedies which had a profound influence on European theatre from antiquity to modern times. His plays were heavily used to learn to speak and write in Latin during the Middle Ages and Renaissance Period, and in some instances were imitated by Shakespeare.
