Later Blaeu-edition, the first to include Thomas Farnabi's commentaries, of Terence’s Commedies which had a profound influence on European theatre from antiquity to modern times. His plays were heavily used to learn to speak and write in Latin during the Middle Ages and Renaissance Period, and in some instances were imitated by Shakespeare.
