"Tåning (In the present work) described the food of auks in Icelandic waters in a popular article. His findings, based on an unknown number of stomachs, indicated postlarval fish as an important food, especially haddock as well as cod and also whiting, Norway pout (Trisopterus esmerkii) and capelin (Mallotus villosus)."
