First edition of this early Danish work on gardening, being the first general work on gardening in Danish - i.e. the first not confined to either growth on free land or the growth of trees specifically. This work came to define the view on pleasure-gardens in Denmark and constitues a defining moment in the history of Danish gardening. The work, which was written by the gardener at the estate of Hollufgaard, also introduced Danish words for plants that had hitherto only been referred to by foreign names.
