The rare first edition of Reich's imporrtant "The Function oft he Orgasm", one of the very fist works to link neural conditions to orgasms.

Wilhelm Reich (1897 - 1957), psychiatrist, psychoanalytic, sexual scholar and sociologist was one of the primary founders of the body-psychotherapy as well as the founder of the science of orgonomy.

Reich was the first of the psychanalytics to study the adult sexual behaviour of his patients. He discovered that those patients who had succeeded in creating fairy stabile and satifactory marital relations, witnessed a greater and more lasting improvement in their neural conditions than those who had not. He thus investigated the criteria for fully satisfactory sexual intercourse and found the typical patterns of this. On this basis, he established the energy function of the orgasm and traced nervous symptoms back to the lack of orgasms.

This seminal discovery was that which Reich described and investigated for the fist time in his influential and quite controversial "The Function oft he Orgasm", which came to influence much later science of sexuality.
