(Berlin, Stockholm, Paris, Almqvist & Wiksell, 1901). 4to. Without wrappers as extracted from"Acta Mathematica. Hrsg. von G. Mittag-Leffler", vol. 24, pp. 1-88.

First edition. "After Poinceré, the most significant work on solutions of equations of the form dy/dx= P(x,y)/Q (x,y) is due to Ivar Bendixon (1861-1935). One of his major results (the offered paper) provides a criterion by means of which, in certain regions, one can show that no closed trajectory exists....The theorem now named after Poincaré and Bendixon, which is the latter's 1901 paper, provides a positive criterion for the existence of a periodic solution of (the above equation)."
