Alfred Proessdorf (1882-1925) was an artist born in Leipzig and educated in Düsseldorf. He later moved to Gothenburg, Sweden and worked for satirical magazines, such as Sunday-Nisse and Rattle. His images are often elegant and give a good idea of style in clothes and furnishings. He also worked with graphics, painting, and theater decoration. He did the costumes for E. Bauer revues 1919-1923.
